Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-13. This is a template reviewed for structure and completeness, not a substitute for legal counsel — see the note for the site owner at the bottom of this page.

1. What DealHafen is

DealHafen is an AI co-pilot for buy-side searchers in DACH Mittelstand business succession. It helps you build an investor profile, reviews and scores listings against it, and gives you a persistent pipeline to track deals. It is not a sourcing marketplace, does not perform full deal execution (modeling, due diligence, structuring, or contract drafting), and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice — decisions and outreach are yours to make.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Pricing

The service is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, existing free functionality won't be paywalled retroactively without reasonable advance notice.

5. No warranty

Listing data is sourced from third-party exchanges and extracted with AI assistance — while we design the extraction to never invent a number that isn't stated, we can't guarantee completeness or accuracy of third-party content, and scores are a decision-support tool, not a valuation or investment recommendation. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, DealHafen is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on listing data or scores it presents.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including the acceptable-use rules above.

8. Governing law

[Owner: confirm the governing law and venue with counsel — a reasonable default given the product's DACH focus is the law of the Federal Republic of Germany.]

9. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email.

Note for the site owner: drafted to be structurally complete and consistent with the product's actual hard rules (no de-anonymization, no mass outreach — see CLAUDE.md and docs/compliance.md), but not a substitute for review by qualified counsel before treating it as final.
